Waterquality Monitoring with ROV

Created at: 19 Apr 2023

Description

Metro Cebu River Scan Challenge 2023 Butuanon River Upstream Point 1 - Pit-os Site

The Butuanon River has always been considered as a significant natural resource as it sustains benefits such as fishing, irrigation, recreation, etc. Particularly in the upstream portion of Butuanon River, it has not been developed for urban purposes thus the water that flows through it is still relatively unpolluted. However, this portion of the Butuanon River is experiencing diverse problems associated with excessive water runoff that affects its sustainability and the overall well-being of residents nearby. Moreover, during a heavy rainfall, the water that runs off from the upstream area contributes to the flooding downstream.

Proponents: AƱana, Bacon, Brokling, Cadungog, Fiel, Fuentes, Iway, Mata, Monsales, Padilla, Parot, Pepito, Rotaquio, Sayawan, Sevilles, Silva, Villagonzalo
