Description

The River Scan Challenge 2023 is an event administered in its fifth year by The University of San Carlos, Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, and Cebu Leads Foundation Inc with the partnership of the local governments in Metro Cebu.

The Mahiga River and Butuanon River are the subjects to be studied for the River Scan Challenge this year. For Team 9, we are assigned to study the midstream flow of the Butuanon River, locating untreated wastewater and solid wastes from the urbanized environment. For its purpose is to highlight the technical dimensions of doable strategies in rehabilitating these rivers and providing concrete solutions in mitigating the issues present in the riverside.
