Water Demand (conservation) Management

Water Conservation

Created at: 08 Apr 2020

Description

To ensure minimal water wastage, leaks are identified and mitigated by sub-metering water uses and monitoring via a building management system. Water closets, urinals, taps and shower heads are fitted with efficient water fittings to control water consumption. To further reduce water consumption, smart system irrigation by means of drip irrigation, automatic seasonal controllers, moisture sensors and mulching are implemented. This reduces the potable water consumption for landscape by 70%. The building does not employ any water consuming heat rejection systems. Each floor has a fire sprinkler system that has an isolation valve to enable floor-by-floor testing to reduce potable water consumption.
