Description

Flood barriers constructed in 1984 to protect the Greater City of London from stormsurges. It can be closed during high tide to prevent risks and opened during low tide to allow for traffic. The barrier stretches across 500 meter and is 20 meters high. The barrier has been designed to withstand sea level rise until 2030.
