Dune restoration

Climate Adaptive Green

Created at: 27 Oct 2022

Description

Dunes in coastal areas are restored by vegetation and native plants of New Zealand such as such as Spinifex and Pingao. To maintain the sand dunes, it is essential to do dune reshaping, monitoring and maintainance, to protect the plants, and species from severe impacts that occur around the coast. Human actions and activites destroy the plants that are trying to grow and develop the sand dunes to protect its habitat from climate change impacts.
