Field hockey pitch water storage and usage

Description

Under the field hockey pitch there is a water storage with a capacity of 1700 cubic meters. Rainwater from the buildings that will become part of the sports complex will be directed to this storage. The rainwater will be used to water the pitch. Excess water will be directed to nearby waterbodies with delay.

Samenvatting (Dutch description)

Onder het veld zit een waterbuffer met een totale capaciteit van 1.700 m3. Deze buffer is bedoeld om piekbuien, die in toekomst steeds meer voor zullen komen, te kunnen opvangen. Het water uit de waterbuffer wordt vertraagd afgevoerd, zodat de gemalen meer tijd krijgen het water af te voeren. In de toekomst zullen de gebouwen op sportpark het regenwater ook afvoeren op de waterbuffer
